Too busy

I am approaching the final 2 weeks of this semester. This week I am bogged down with projects, papers, and presentations. Next week is my finals week, then I am off to SPAIN for all of May!! What I am trying to say is- I don't have time to blog. If you want to know something, call me :)

Monkey see Monkey do

So we went out to dinner with the Spiveys in February. We met at this nice little French place one evening. I let Josh take some pictures with my camera. He was so happy and took this strange picture of my dad. Now, I know that it was not the photographer who is responsible for this. THEN a few weeks later at my birthday dinner Josh started making this face for every picture. Gee, thanks dad.

I'm having too much fun

I have been doing LOTS of fun things lately. This past week Abby's mom and 3 of her sisters came to BV. They rented a super cute cabin right by a lake way back in the boonies. I thought it was an April Fool's joke when we were driving there but- it was a beautiful view. Her mom had dinner ready for us and an Easter Egg hunt too. It was lots of fun. Since is has been nice outside, occasionally we take ourselves up to the Blue Ridge Parkway and plop down on a blanket. We had Stake Conference a few weeks ago and took the opportunity to go up there right after church. It was a nice day and we had ourselves a little picnic. It was a great experience for us- a really nice man, Carl, approached us (no mom- not in a creepy way) and we ended up talking about our church. He seemed very interested and we were able to debunk a lot of myths he believed. Mary luckily had some church literature with her, a True to the Faith book, on her which we were able to give to him. He was actually very thankful. We might never know what becomes of our friend Carl but it was a great experience for Mary, Becky, Alyssa and myself and hopefully we have planted a seed that someone else might get to harvest. On opening weekend of Busch Gardens SVU planned a trip for anyone (who had the money) to go on. I decided to go and I am very glad I did. It was pretty chilly all day long which was weird for me since I had only been to an amusement park in the heat of the Summer before. I got to spend time with a group of friends that I don't usually hang with and it was great!! We rode all the rides together, spent way too much money on overpriced food, and overall had a great time. We have a few stories about sickness on rides or getting stuck on the top of a roller coaster- but I'll save those for another time.

My Birthday Week

I had a very nice birthday which also landed over my Spring Break. I got so spend the 1oth with my favorite people. The next 3 days I got to hang out with Josh and Sophie. We did fun things like go to the park and Chuck E Cheese, read Green Eggs and Ham and then make orange eggs and red noodles (Josh's idea- he loved it. I was near vomiting). I took the kids to visit my mom at her work at GMU (shout out!!!). She got to show off the kids to everyone who of course thought they were the cutest ever- which they are. People really have to stop thinking they are my kids though. Its a problem. Overall it was very fun. What's the secret to living till 20?.... I don't know. I'll tell ya if I think of one.

Spring Break

I spent Spring Break in Florida with my mom and Grandma. It was nice. I wasn't having the same Daytona Beach experience as my fellow peers but I had a good time. We shopped, ate, and hung out a lot. And, we had a pretty sweet ride to boot. Not to mention it was bike week. We were all but thrilled to see some of the... exposed... biker chicks. (My mom will appreciate this.) It was nice to get away for a while.
