I'm having too much fun
I have been doing LOTS of fun things lately. This past week Abby's mom and 3 of her sisters came to BV. They rented a super cute cabin right by a lake way back in the boonies. I thought it was an April Fool's joke when we were driving there but- it was a beautiful view. Her mom had dinner ready for us and an Easter Egg hunt too. It was lots of fun.
Since is has been nice outside, occasionally we take ourselves up to the Blue Ridge Parkway and plop down on a blanket. We had Stake Conference a few weeks ago and took the opportunity to go up there right after church. It was a nice day and we had ourselves a little picnic. It was a great experience for us- a really nice man, Carl, approached us (no mom- not in a creepy way) and we ended up talking about our church. He seemed very interested and we were able to debunk a lot of myths he believed. Mary luckily had some church literature with her, a True to the Faith book, on her which we were able to give to him. He was actually very thankful. We might never know what becomes of our friend Carl but it was a great experience for Mary, Becky, Alyssa and myself and hopefully we have planted a seed that someone else might get to harvest.
On opening weekend of Busch Gardens SVU planned a trip for anyone (who had the money) to go on. I decided to go and I am very glad I did. It was pretty chilly all day long which was weird for me since I had only been to an amusement park in the heat of the Summer before. I got to spend time with a group of friends that I don't usually hang with and it was great!! We rode all the rides together, spent way too much money on overpriced food, and overall had a great time. We have a few stories about sickness on rides or getting stuck on the top of a roller coaster- but I'll save those for another time.
